 Equipment Leakage Circuit Breaker
 PD-Series: SmartGuard
 PD-Series PDF eLibrary
The PD-Series SmartGuard circuit breaker is an equipment ground fault protection device that functions as a standard high-quality Carling Technologies hydraulic/magnetic circuit breaker , offering customized overload and short circuit protection. In addition, this breaker senses and guards against faults to ground using a state of the art integrated circuit developed by Carling Technologies. This new technology detects faults and when a fault occurs, the breaker trips and an LED illuminates. The LED gives a clear indication that the trip occurred as a result of leakage. This protection helps prevent serious equipment damage and fire.
The PD-Series circuit breakers come in 1-3 poles with switched or unswitched neutral options. They have a short circuit interrupt capacity up to 5,000 amps, current ratings up to 50 amps, voltage ratings up to 480VAC, and equipment leakage sensitivity from 7 to 100 milliamps. They offer front panel or DIN Rail mounting options, and are available with handle style actuators with an optional handleguard.
